meet your hosts

We have raised three children, and are now empty nesters. We are grandparents of three: Dawson, Quinn, and Leighton. After the last child left home we moved outside the city to the country in an effort to simplify our life. Sandy is a retired hair stylist and now works with me full time. I run a branding firm called Trendsetters Media Group. We attend Faith Promise Church and are active in their Small Group Ministry. We led a small group in our home for the past 12 years and have recently became Small Group Coaches with several leaders under our span of care. We love to bike, go to the lake, eat out, read self help books, and according to Sandy I have a bad habit of restoring historic properties with 3 restorations currently under way. We are both very social and love people. We aim to be warm and welcoming and be  great host during your stay.

May God Bless Your Stay With Us!

Meet Our Past Guests

Lesley & Baby Gus

It is bittersweet leaving Knoxville for us. Our time up here has been so nice. The Duncan Inn was the perfect home away from home during my cancer treatments, and I must say the kitchen sink is the perfect baby bathing sink – I will miss it the most (so will Gus!) This is the end of a long year’s worth of treatments for me. It has been hard but I wouldn’t trade it for anything. The experiences and people that we’ve met along the way are treasures to us. Thanks for being a part of our story!

Terry & Melissa Stutts

Ron & Sandy,

Many blessings to you both! Thank you both so much for all you have done to make sure that we were comfortable at The Duncan Inn. We wrote a note for future guests before this just thinking that they may relate and to let them know that positive feelings are on the way! As I know Randy has… we will recommend Provision and The Duncan Inn to anyone that we feel has the need for great care when their life calls for top notch care!

Ron & Sandy,

I share many of the things that others have experienced in your home. The Lord’s Presence is here. He has held me many times during my fear. He has given me reset to my body and soul when I needed it. I appreciate the two of you praying for me and my family. You have been such a blessing to us and I pray that you will be blessed for all that you do for others. It’s such an inspiration to see two loving and caring people to love each other and most of all Love the Lord!

Randy & Linda Grimes

Dear Sandy & Ron,

We will truly miss the Duncan Inn! It has been a wonderful home away from home – so attractive and comfortable! Thank you for sharing with us and being so accommodating. We have enjoyed exploring Knoxville, what a cool city, and have taken advantage of all your tips and suggestions. We loved having Lakeshore Park so close – our dogs looked forward to their walk everyday. We are so happy we chose the Duncan inn over a hotel. Staying here has made a difficult time much nicer. Thank you, too for all the special touches!

Iris & Charlie

My wife Iris and I are from Charlotte, N.C. and in Knoxville for medical treatment. We were in need of a place to live for the two month period from August 1,2016 to September 29,2016. Fortunately for us the first place we looked at was the Duncan Inn in the great Bearden section of Knoxville within a few minutes to food markets, major drug stores, restaurants and major shopping malls and a beautiful large park close by. The Duncan Inn has all the amenities to make our stay perfect as our home away from home. The warmth generated from the furnishings and décor reflect the southern charm and upbeat personalities of the wonderful owners Sandy and Ron Morton who have been so good to us during this journey. I am not usually a type to get gushy but must express how great a time  we had at our memorable stay at the Duncan Inn and I am confident those who follow us will share those feelings.

Larry & Linda Petrillo

Dear Sandy & Ron,

Thank you so much for sharing your bright & lovely cottage with us! We have explored Knoxville and a lot of East Tennessee – have come to love this beautiful area. Your sharing of this lovely home has been a blessing for us.

Many Thanks! God bless you always.

Charlie & Martha

Dear Ron & Sandy,

The parting is sad, yet glorious. We have loved our sojourn at 6602 Northshore. As we walked in the door we were assailed by the Spirit of Love & Welcome – evidence of the prayers this place has known through you – it’s owners.

Of course the same Spirit is right there in your farm house. Thank you both for sharing your home, a good meal, and the grist mill with us. Keep in touch. Blessings in Christ!

Dennis & Judy McCarthy

Our recent stay at the Duncan Inn was perfect. Cute bungalow. Tastefully appointed. Kitchen facility for food preparation to eat in. Also located near a variety of restaurants, including an old-fashioned cafeteria, for sit-down dinners or take out. Centrally located. Near hospitals, doctors’ offices, and malls. It met all our needs.
